Origin: France

Date: ca. 1900-1910

This small fan is made of carved tortoiseshell sticks and a double white and black net leaf. The sticks have steel piqué and steel shapes applied to them. The front leaf is covered with steel sequins and spangles in various shapes.

Length: 7.5" (19 cm)  Width: 13.5" (35 cm)

Condition: Excellent, but a good few sequins/spangles have rust stains, some of the inlay on the inner sticks is missing and a few sticks have very minor insect damage (see photos). The backing white net leaf has a small tear (this is very difficult to see when the fan is open - I only noticed it when I cleaned the fan sticks).

Price: SOLD
