Origin: France (sticks), Belgium (leaf) Date: ca. 1900-1905 This beautiful fan is made of silvered and gilded carved white mother of pearl sticks and a single handmade white Brussels Point de Gaze lace leaf. The leaf is densely worked with flowers and foliage, among others with roses, irises and pansies. Length: 9.75" (24.5 cm) Width: 18.5" (46 cm) The fan comes in its original satin covered cardboard box. It is not labeled, but was made by one of the great French fanmakers (probably Duvelleroy or Kees) Condition: Very good, with one tiny break in the lace net, a light orange age stain on the right and a few light orange smudges on some outer (raised folds) - nothing dramatic (see photos). The sticks are perfect. Price: SOLD (including packaging & shipping via Registered, Insured & Tracked Airmail)
