This beautiful Art Nouveau era fan is made of tortoiseshell sticks and a single black machine made Chantilly lace leaf with black silk inserts. The inserts are hand painted with a young lady and several putti attempting to catch turtledoves and baskets of flowers.
This fan comes in its original cardboard box.
Length: 9.75″ (24.5 cm) Width: 18.25″ (46.5 cm)
Condition: Excellent, usable condition with minor rubbing of the paint and a few small weevil nibbles on the tortoiseshell (very common with t-shell). The box is in good condition.
