Origin: France (Dieppe) and/or Austria
Date: ca. 1880
This brise fan has a front guard is deeply carved in raised relief with a putto, vines and a bunches of grapes. The fan is also handpainted with pink blossoms and a blue butterfly. It has a silk tassel and carrying ring attached.
Height: 7.5″ (18 cm) Width: 13.5″ (34 cm)
Condition: Excellent, usable condition. Silk ribbon properly replaced.
