This sparkling Duvelleroy fan is made of carved, pierced and painted bone sticks and a single pastel green net leaf with cream silk overlay. The fan is handpainted in green shades with a courting couple in the centre and garden/park landscapes on either side. The leaf is also covered with many different coloured steel sequins and spangles and leaf-shaped mother-of-pearl plaques. The fan is signed “Marty” in the centre medallion.
This fan comes in its original cardboard box labelled “J. Duvelleroy, 167 Regent Street, W. (London)”.
