This fine Cantonese brise fan 清代象牙扇 is made of 21 carved ivory sticks that are connected via a cream coloured pure silk ribbon (properly replaced). The front and back of the fan are identically carved and show elaborate garden scenes.
Length: 7.5″ (19 cm) Width: 13.25″ (33.5 cm)
Condition: Very good condition with light yellow patina and an antique, imperceptible repair on one guardstick and a small flaw on the other guard (see last photo).
