This beautiful, sparkling Edwardian fan is made of tortoiseshell sticks and a gauze leaf overlaid with black silk. The silk leaf has geometric-shaped cutouts and is entirely covered with steel spangles sequins. The effect is stunning, but does not show very well in photographs. It shimmers in the light. The loop has a small ring attached onto which a dance card could be affixed.
This fan comes in its original silk lined cardboard box – no label.

Condition: The fan is in excellent, usable condition. No loss of sequins or spangles that I can see. Signs of old repairs on the box, but it is in good condition.
