This fan has telescopic sticks – its sticks retract, when the fan is not in use – it is a pretty nifty design! Telescopic fans were designed to fit into the large crinoline skirt pockets or a reticule/purse. The fan is made of ivory sticks and a double, burgundy coloured silk faille leaf. Front and back of this fan are identical. The upper guardsticks bear a handcarved monogram: B. Telescopic fans with ivory sticks are rare.

Condition: Very good, usable condition. The mechanism works smoothly.
